Please follow these to the best of your ability.

M e m b e r s h i p

• You must fill out an application for your character and you must be accepted by an administrator before posting in-character; the lounge and C-Box are open to all accepted/unaccepted members.
  
  
• Once you have been accepted, you can feel free to post anywhere on the forum as long as you keep these rules in mind.
  
  
• Accounts with Canon characters that are inactive for over a period of 30 days will be deleted from the forum, as to make the position available to any seeking visitors. If you decide to return again as an active member, you are always welcome to create another account and go through the application process again.
  
  
• Should you break any of the rules listed in this thread, you will receive a series of warnings. If you should insist on breaking the rules after that then your account will be banned and deleted. Depending on the circumstances of your rule-breaking, the admins may decide to delete your account without warning.
  
  
• All members MUST be 16 years of age or older. Anyone younger than 13 will be deleted, as this is breaking our site content rulings, which are somewhat stricter than Proboard's Terms of Service.
  
  
• The forum uses the NSRB Video-game rating of T through M due to the high likelihood of graphic content (blood gore violence suggestive and sensual and or sexual or otherwise adult themes)
  And we ask that you use this straightforward rating system in your thread titles (defined by the first person to post and start the thread) as defined below.
  
  As such, we the staff and members also ask that sexually themed content be CLEARLY MARKED in a simple description at the beginning of such posts.
  Please understand that unless ruled as official Cannon, same-sex romantic relationships are prohibited between Cannon Characters, and they will NOT be supported between Cannon and Original Characters that end up in a relationship, if this offends, upsets or inconveniences you, we are sorry, but we do not approve of same gender relationships that are contrary to established Cannon, and so we will not support them on this forum.
  
  
• If you do not submit to Administrative authority in any way, all administrators have the authority to ban you at will. Several offenses include arguing with an Administrator or other staff members final judgment of a situation, addressing an Administrator/Moderator disrespectfully, or conspiring against this forum. Please understand: You will be immediately and permanently banned from this forum, and your affiliation will be cut.
  

C r e a t i n g A c c o u n t s

• Please do not use usernames consisting of inappropriate content or random symbols and numbers. If possible, please make your username that of your characters proper name or a nickname or alias so that we can identify you with some ease. If we spot usernames with "11111" or "#$%^", then the account will be deleted.
  
  
• Please limit yourself to five accounts. Before making each new account, the previous account must have at least 25 in character posts, and or 40 total posts with no more than 15 out of character posts.
  Of course, we have ways of checking to see how many accounts each member has, so please do not try and get around this rule, it will only annoy us.
  Also, we have a ONE cannon per person limit, AND for every two girls, there must be a boy, maybe you just want to play girls, well if there are enough boys to support the 51/49% split in favor of ladies, the its kewl, we'll keep track of it all and let you know where the populace stands, oh and "It's" (robots gender neutral beings) don't count either way.
  
  
• If you decide at one point that you want to leave the forum for some reason or another then you may of course, delete your own account. However, we would appreciate a PM or some type of notification beforehand. If something has happened that has caused you to leave, we may be able to help work things out or at minimum we will know that you are indeed leaving and can adjust our own little plots as needed.

Cbox rules:

1.) Do not excessively swear. It gets annoying. so don't do it!

2.) Don't fight over the C-box. That's stupid and pointless, take it elsewhere, like MSN...

3.) Do not advertise over the C-box. There's an entire Board dedicated to that.

General conduct:

1.) No bigotry of any kind, no personal attacks (outside of roll-play) national, political or religious "wars" of any kind. not even the suggestion of it will be allowed.

2.) People all have a right to their privacy. do not push anyone to tell you any personal information (interests, contact details etc) This is harassment. Sexual and emotional harassment also will not be tolerated at all, and if you are banned for this reason, you will also be reported to ProBoards Staff, in detail. no exceptions.

3.) Approach people politely, especially admins since they have the power to delete you. Arguments will not be tolerated, do these in your own time off of the site. If there are any disagreements you feel must be work out on the site them approach an admin to judge them and sort it out. Deal with it if you don’t like their decision or seek a higher force. (Mr/Ms Admin) however friendly debate is encouraged and will be tolerated, so long as the rules are not broken.

4.) Threats will never be tolerated. You will be directly approached by a god admin and will more than likely be permanently banned if apologizes are not issued to the bullied party/s.

5.) Please and thank yous will get you further than demands. Use some common knowledge.

6.) Never post links to sites which can be emotionally distressing. (Death, politics, porn ect.)

C h a r a c t e r s

• Please do not create perfect characters. Everyone has weaknesses, no one is perfect. If your character fits the name "Mary-Sue" or "Billy-Joe" then this is probably a sign that your character would fall under this category. Just don't create them.
  
  
• Canons are available for use; however, certain of the most popular canons are to be reserved for members with more advanced writing skill. Note that this is an intermediate-advanced RPG.
  
  
• Please do not God-Mod. This is when you control the actions of another character without their input or permission. It is also when you act overly powerful with your character. Remember that in the world of RWBY, like in real life, we do not always avoid injury or harm, and so your character should reflect this as much as possible. On the flip side, in real life, we are not always in a state of constant illness. Try and keep a balance between these two spectrum's. The only time God-Modding is allowed is if the character doesn't really exist on the forum as a claimed character.
  
  
• Your characters can be children if desired, as clearly Ruby Rose is barely 16, just make sure however, that you are able to role-play them decently and at an intermediate to advanced level. Please note: Members may not have animals as characters.
  
  
• Make sure to read through the plot. Then, when creating your character, carefully choose your member group. Though it can be changed after time, it is important that you understand which side your character is on.
  
  
• At any time, you are allowed to kill off your character. However...this does not mean that you have to delete your account. If you do decide to kill off your character then you can post another application for a different character under the same account and simply change your display name. Make sure to notify an admin before killing off your character so we are aware of it. On another note, you may not kill anyone's character unless you have the permission from them. You can request permission through the PM system.

P o s t i n g

• No ONE-LINERS! Your posts must be at least one paragraph in length, consisting of 8-10 sentences. Any shorter and you will be asked to modify it. If you continue to post short posts that are beneath the posting requirement you will be warned then banned and deleted if you persist. Anyone can come up with a good 8-10 sentences.
  
  
• Post in third person past tense. Here is an example for you to use as a guideline.
  
  Bad Post: "I walk up to Jane and ask her if she wants to go see a movie."
  
  Good Post: Mark walked up to Jane and asked her if she wanted to go see a movie.
  
  Great Post: Mark walked up and greeted Jane, then asked, "Wanna go see a movie?"
  
  
• Please do not double post. If you need to modify your post, use the "modify" feature.
  
  
• Make sure to use the "Spell Check" button. It is there to help you, we all make spelling errors sometimes, so please use it before submitting your post.
  
  
• Try to keep threads organized, post in an "A,B,C" fashion so people in your threads aren't left out.
  
  
• If you want a closed thread then please add the word "closed" in your thread like so:

  The horizontal rule button is located in the tag section of your post, the third button from the left on the top row next to the color selection drop-down bar. This will help others know if they can post in your thread. You should only add a closed tag if you wish to role-play with just one other person. Unless the "closed" tag is in your post, it will be assumed that your post is "open" or open for anyone else to join into it if they wish.
  
  
• If you are going to have threads based on romance please make sure you post more than just "Sue kissed Mark". Really people, romance is a lot more than just kissing, make it interesting. Threads like this will be locked and moved to the archives to be an example of what NOT TO DO.
  
  
• Please do not create threads that discuss inappropriate and out of context material such as pornography, cutting, suicide, or anything similar. We do realize that these issues occur on a daily basis, but this forum is not a "help" forum, and we are not qualified to help anyone with these issues.
  
  
• To gain access to the Application Information board, you must remember the keyword "ZWEI!". The purpose of placing the key in the forum rules is to "encourage" all members to review the rules before beginning. Don't stop reading here; the consequences of failing to follow any of these rules will result in severe discipline.
  
  
• When you are finished with a thread, then please put "The End" somewhere in the last post. This will help us know to move the thread into the archives so that the boards stay uncluttered and free of, old, dead, or finished threads. Even if the thread isn't finished, but has died, or the posters have lost interest, it would be appreciated if you added "move to archive" somewhere in the thread.

• Signatures are to be no larger than 475 x 175 pixels. The only exception is if you want to include a couple lines of text in addition to your picture. If this is the case, please have no more than three lines of text.
  
  
• Nudity or pornography of any kind is prohibited, even if it is only suggested. This is a violation of Proboards Terms of Service which you agree upon when registering for the forum. Any images that we see that fall under this category will be removed from your profile and you will be sent a warning.
  
  
• You are not required to have a signature or avatar, but it makes role-playing with your character easier for other people posting with you. Simply because it helps to know what your posting companion's character looks like.
  
  
• Do not hot link your images. Upload them to your own host. If we spot hot linked images then they will be removed and you will be warned.
